Human Trafficking in the Rural US

As part of an applied research collaboration with victim services advocates and social workers, Dr. Kim conducted ethnographic research with service providers and survivors of human trafficking in Ohio. As part of her research and service, Dr. Kim also participated in the work of the Northwest Ohio Rescue and Restore (anti-human trafficking) Coalition, Hancock County Chapter. Over the years she has served on the executive board in various capacities. Dr. Kim is also a certified Human Trafficking 101 trainer; organizations may request informational training sessions either through the NWORRC or directly from Dr. Kim.
